Oh wow -- I thought you might chose a rap song! I can think of a lot of them that would top my list. Free Bird is such a southern rock classic.

Wow, you sure know how to stir the pot, Kat! Free Bird?! How can one so detest a classic when there are soooooooo many universally dreadful songs from which to choose?!

I don't remember the song. Maybe it was that bad. I got a giggle out of your remarks. This certainly stirred some conversation. Hope you are having a super day. Hugs, Marty

"Free Bird" never bothered me, but there are some pop songs that make me want to run screaming into the hills. Like "Tie A Yellow Ribbon"... overplayed and that dinky, dink, dink tune. ;-) And Tom Jones makes me want to scream, too! LOL!

XO,

Sheila :-)

Ok, I'm going to stir the pot some more :) Pat, I would have chosen something rap, but the challenge says to pick a "song" Sorry, in my book rap does not qualify lol. Sheila, that song drives me nuts too. Another one is "you're having my baby" - ARGGGGHHH! Ok gals, discuss amongst yourselves :) Kat

I actually like Free Bird and all the Skynyrd songs! My ex-husband went to high school in Jacksonville with those guys and used to tell me some good stories, including the one about their gym teacher Mr. Skinner who inspired their name.

I don't know if I could pick ONE favorite song. It's neat how music draws you back to a time and place so quickly.
