Day 6 of the Music Challenge, hosted by criticalcrass at Quirky Pickings. Today's song choice is one that reminds you of a certain place. When we first moved to Austin, oh those many moons ago, MTV was brand new. We were lucky enough to find an apartment that provided cable television. MTV was fascinating to us. One of the songs I remember them playing over and over again was "Rock the Casbash" by the Clash.
We loved seeing the video, because alot of it was filmed in our new adopted town. And I love this song. Set aside the politics, it's totally fun. Come to think of it, so was our move to Austin :)

I've never seen this video! Love the song and now wonder whatever happened to the musicians.
I think I'll be singing this the rest of today :)
I love this song too and I loved the old MTV when they played videos all day long! I used to keep it on all the time instead of the radio.
I remember that song....
I know this is going to sound strange, but one song that makes me think of our honeymoon (the LONG drive from Alabama to the Poconos) is "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman. It's really a depressing song, but it brings back such great memories for both of us!
LOVE your song! Ahhhhh, the MTV days when MTV actually PLAYED music!
Great Song!!! I picked an 80s song too!
Hmmm, I don't know why I don't remember that song, Kat. I must really be a lot, lot older than you...Christine
I like it and I'd never seen it before! Am I old, or what???!!!!
I love older rock and this one is on my playlist for sure.
