Finding Beauty #2 - Sit and chat for a while
Claudia at Dipity Road is hosting Finding Beauty again this week. This is such a fun event where everyone can post what is beautiful in their lives every week. If you haven't discovered Claudia's blog yet, you really need to pay a visit. Her photography is gorgeous! And if you hurry, you can get in on the fabulous giveaway she is having to celebrate her 100th post.
It's the end of another busy week, time to stop and relax and unwind. What better place than on these benches looking out on a lovely, serene water view. Join me for a chat!
The family took a little jaunt last weekend to New Braunfels Texas. We finally warmed up a bit and the sun was shining, so we hit the road. New Braunfels is a beautiful little town in Central Texas that boasts lovely restored homes, wonderful antique shops and great spots for tubing on the river. While looking for a road (that we never found) we discovered this lovely park smack dab in the middle of town. If you'd like to read more about beautiful Landa Park, click here. There were lots of people out feeding the ducks, walking the trails and just enjoying the day. Lots of kids too, guess cabin fever was getting to everyone! Enjoy the pictures and remember to keep your eyes peeled, you can find beauty everywhere. If we hadn't been lost, we might never have discovered this lovely place!
Now be sure to swing by Claudia's and see the beauty that everyone is sharing this week.

Kat, what a gorgeous and tranquil place. I can see why everyone is drawn to this beautiful park. Your picture are just fabulous. You really did capture the wonderful feel of this park. Hugs, Marty
pretty park...I bet it was crowded..everyone tired of being cooped up...
great place for a picnic
thanks for sharing it w/ us :)
Beautiful river and scenery Kathy! I would love to take a stroll along the banks.
Oh you are so right about the cut-off time being hard but it is the key to burning the calories. I actually like to go sleep slightly hungry now. I know it's working for me.
My time is 7pm but some days I try to make it earlier if I can. It all depends on Alex's work schedule and our dinner time.
Good Luck! I know you will succeed. It's good to have support as well. I don't think I would have lost the same amount if my hubby wasn't helping me. Alex has lost 15 pounds and feels great too! He was all for doing this for a long time before we even started it. Since he is a Marine they have a weight limit check twice a year.
Have a great weekend. ~Melissa :)
delighted that you were able to get out and about and BREATHE...
and i ever so thank you for sharing your peeks into the world beyond snow and ice.
ah, wouldn't it really be grand if we were indeed sitting on that bench? :)
I'm such a dork, I just realized I wasn't signed in when I left a comment and thought you'd be wondering who the anonymous commenter was who was rambling on. Now I don't see that comment and I'm feeling even dorkier.
Anyway, I'm rambling again, so it must be time for me to shut down for the day.
btw, the comment was all about chatting with you for hours in that park and how I get lost in my own town. lol
Hi Kathy
This looks like a lovely area. I love how trees are already green and the water looks so clear and blue.
I hope to re-joing Claudia's meme next week!
Have a great weekend!
Hugs, Pat
Oh, I'm aching to leave this Oregon rain and put myself right into those pictures! Beautiful and tranquil. Love your photography.
Hi Kathy
No snow there huh? We are buried here in Canada. Your spot looks very inviting. I love that stone bridge. How nice to see the ducks also.
Please forgive my post, if you come over. I had to post my Pink Sat. and remove my FFB. Sorry about that, so no need to visit. Just didn't want you to come over and say "hey where is it"?
Have a great weekend
Love Claudie

What a beautiful, peaceful and serene place. Even the ducks are enjoying the lake. I love all the stone walls too. It must be really nice to be able to enjoy the outdoors at this time of the year, Kathy...Christine

Hi Kathy,
Great Photos, that place looks like an amazing place to spend time. You did a wonderful job taking those shots.
Kathy, you did find some beauty, and you photographed it beautifully! Love the reflection of the lined up benches in the water. Thank you for being such a sweet, encouraging friend. laurie
Kat, I need to move or at least visit Texas this is a gorgeous place and you photography is getting better and better! Hugs Kathysue
I honestly believe being by any form of water, i the most rlaxing place to be. I grew up surrounded by water and currently live right on Lake Erie. I can't imagine not having water around me. When life gets all chaotic, I just take a cup of coffee and and go and sit at the waer and it instantly relaxes me.
have a wonderful day!
This looks like a nice peaceful area to relax and read a good book (& take pictures!)
It certainly is a nice place! The water looks so clear.
Wonderful pictures of beautiful scenery! Off to check out Finding Beauty now as it sounds a great idea. :)
