Alphabe Thursday - U is for ...

It's time once again for my favorite class, Alphabe-Thursday. Mrs. Matlock has assigned the letter U for our essays this week. Watching the events in the gulf unfold, I knew right away what I was going to post.

U is for

Unconscionable

Unforgivable

Unbelievable

Unfathomable

Untrustworthy

Unemployed

Unrecoverable? I pray not....

My hear
t breaks for the innocent creatures killed by this disaster. And for the people of the Gulf Coast, who were just beginning to recover from the devastation of the last 5 years. Please keep these good, strong and faithful people in your prayers.

This whole thing is so horrible! I feel so so sad for all the creatures who have died and are injured.
And also for the people who live and work along the Gulf too.

Fabulous post, kathy --you said it all!
I can not believe that 11 men dies in this disater and now we will have to deal with the the destruction of precious shoreline and wildlife and sealife will suffer. :-(

Kat, everytime I watch the news with all the poor wildlife covered in oil, I ask God to forgive us for what we have done to our beautiful Earth. So sad and hopefully Mother Earth can recover this horrible crime that has been done to her. I think this post should be sent to the news stations. It is perfectly articulated in word and in image, Kathysue

This is the toughest post to read this week, but it is also my very favorite.

You should go to the head of the class!

I can't even talk about it, Kat! And to see those pelicans in that mess... grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I pray that the Lord will help the people in charge find a solution to stop this disaster. I hate this SO much. As a Floridian, I particularly hate this because anything that happens to our coastline is detrimental to the state's economy. And I feel so sorry for the people and animals in Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana who are victims of this nightmare. I pray it's over SOON!

XO,

Sheila

What a powerful and thought-provoking stop on our little journey through Alphabe-Thursday's letter "U"!

Your message is one that needs to be seen by so many people in "power"!

With so few words and pictures you really made us feel the devastation of this catastophre!

I live in South Louisiana & know the fiance of one of the 11 killed. It's an awful, awful tragedy. I think one of the out of work fisherman said it best "I understand accidents happem & I can forgive an accident. I can't forgive the how it's being handled".

As sad as your post was, it speaks volumes!

Kat, I became a follower of yours with this post alone.

I did a post last Sunday about my heart being heavy thinking about all of this. It's beyond heartbreaking, our oceans were polluted enough before all of this and now...

Wow, so absolutely to the point. I used to live in FL and I am saddened for the folks who are facing the destruction of their beautiful beaches....

Beautiful job summing up a horrific situation.

It's almost too horrible to grasp. I keep on thinking of the endless lines of fishing boats we saw when we were down on the Louisiana coast and I pray for the people whose livelihoods are in jeopardy.

Best U post. I don't know how to fix it, but I wish they could find a way . . .Thanks.

One word - ugh! We've watched this unfold on TV, it is unbeleivable that with all the technolgies we have these days that this wasn't prevented or at the very least repaired sooner.

Tough post to read and to view. You captured the devastation and the daunting task ahead with both your photos and words. It feels like we need a miracle to recover.

I am viewing your post with tears rolling down my cheeks. I live on the Alabama Gulf Coast. As if hurricanes aren't enough to deal with, now we have this tragedy. Believe me when I say that this event has affected EVERYONE in coastal Alabama, Mississipi, Louisiana, and the Florida panhandle. Our way of life will never be the same.

I agree this should be sent to news stations...perfect public service announcement!

That turtle picture tortured me.
