Alphabe Thursday - T is for ...

Yippee! It's time for my favorite class of the week, Alphabe-Thursday. Mrs. Matlock is our teacher, make sure to stop by and help her read this week's essays. Our assignment this week is on the letter T. I had so much fun last week playing with obscure words that I thought I'd try some more. Honestly, these are real words. I had several comments wondering if I had made them up! I promise, my imagination is not that good!

taphephobia

tallith

termagant

thurible

triskaidekaphobia

Have fun with these. If you get a chance, google obscure words dictionary. It's loads of fun!

I spend a lot of time with unusual words and those that are so obscure they've become obsolete. So you, my dear, are a girl after my own heart.

Nice post@

I love today's soundtrack. And I love words. I wish they had mass so I could roll around in them.

Thanks for that. I'll try to drop one of those words into a conversation one day.

I bet if I put those words in a Scrabble game, opponents will not believe they are words. Thanks for broadening up my word knowledge, Kat...Christine

Hi,

I had a thurible day yesterday LOL Not really. I will have to go look up these new words. That's what I've said before: blogging is "educatiomenal"... Thanks for the fun post. You must be tired. You can come to my Tea Party and relax. See you there,

Great words! I'm so glad I'm not the 13th comment....

This was a terrific stop on our little journey through Alphabe-Thursday's Letter "T"!

And that dictionary is so fun...I get sucked into it, though, so I try to stay away from the obscure words!

A+

Since this is the second time I am reading one of your clever posts with unusual words, I am not going to ask the silly question that I asked last time, if you made all of these up. No. Now I understand that there are a lot of strange words out there! It is to your credit that you show us some of this unusual words, enriching our Alphabet-experience!
Best wishes,

You find the most obscure words! I had to look most of them up but then I teach pre-k and we use lots of rich vocabulary so I will try to introduce them to my little 4 year olds!
