Weekend Reflections - Dreaming of Summer

It's time to join James at Newtown Area Photo for Weekend Reflections. Make sure to stop by and see some amazing photography from all over the world.

We have had rain and gloomy skies for the past 10 days. I'm not going to gripe about the rain after enduring a 3 year drought. But surely I can dream of summer? These were taken last November on a trip to Rockport Texas. I know, it wasn't summer, but it certainly felt like it. Oh how I long to go back!

Hope these made you smile! Have a great weekend everyone.

Absolutely beautiful. I always hit a good song at your site. "Sittin on the dock of the bay" was oh so appropriate for these shots!

Yes, they absolutely made me smile. These are beautiful reflections. The water in the top pic looks like a mirror. The sunset is so pretty in that last shot along with the sun reflecting on the water and a shimmery image of the boat.

I've decided to head to the flea market with Lynette. Snow or not.... The snow is not sticking to the roads. I got to get out of the house.....

Since I am snowed in...your pictures mean a great deal more...and I did not think that possible, for I always love your work!

Since I live in the desert, boats are something I rarely see. They certainly are lovely to look at and they make great reflections in water. Excellent captures!

Both are BEAUTIFUL marina views! It's been raining here in Southern California again for the past couple of days ... enough so there are mudslides and evacuations in the areas burned in last Fall's wildfires. Like you, it's hard to bemoan rain when we've had a few years of drought, but I do wish it wasn't coming all at once.
Hugs and blessings,

Love both of these shots, but I have to say they make me long for summer even more. We're buried past our keisters-26 inches of snow yesterday!

Shellbelle said...

I'm grinning from ear to ear and you know I'm dreaming about summer right along with you!

I know it is so much colder everywhere else, but I'm sitting here shivering and I guess I'll have to break down and turn on the heat. I've been up for about three hours (since 4am) so I could stand out in the cold and watch the space shuttle take off in the dark. Very different than the typical daytime viewing and I didn't want to miss it.

RE: I have seen more of these disposal recepticals in other places. But the one in the airport, I supposed they were installed pre-terrorists days, and the airport management didn't get around removing it.

I like your second photo, is it sunrise or sun set. I like the orangy colour.
