Weekend Reflections Park Views

Happy New Year everyone! It's the beginning of a new decade, so what better time for reflecting. Be sure and join James for Weekend Reflections, his fun weekly meme. Visit him at Newtown Area Photo to see some beautiful shots from around the world. Because the weather was gorgeous the weekend of Christmas, we visited San Gabriel Park so that I could get some practice on my new camera. This first shot was taken from the new bridge that is being completed. It will replace the current low water crossing bridge which you can see in the foreground. As you can imagine, it floods quite easily.

We had to leave our perch when one of our fine young men in blue told us we couldn't be there. The bridge is not open to auto traffic yet. Apparently, it's not open to foot traffic yet either!
Apparently the ducks thought the weather was fine too!

Hope you enjoyed our beautiful blue skies. And thanks for bearing with me as I learn the ropes of this new camera! Make sure to stop by and visit James!

I think you are doing just fine with your new camera, Kathy. They are wonderfully clear shots and the reflections are just right.

I wish you and your family health, happiness and peace as we all journey into twenty ten.

Happy New Year to you and yours. Love the photos. Hope that I'll have some neat ones later today of Lorelai and her friends at the farm. It's awfully cold outside but they seem committed to getting out to four wheel and shoot skeet. Have a great day!!

All three are good photos but the last one has much richer colors. Good luck with your new camera in the coming year.

The clouds in the last photo look like snow on mountains and the cars could be wild animals coming to an African watering hole. A surprising and refreshing atmosphere.
