B stands for lots of things - bees, boys, basketballs, baseballs, bocci balls. But this week, for me anyway, B stands for bangs. As someone who has worn her hair really, really short (think Jamie Lee Curtis) for lots of years, there are some adjustments that need to be made when you decide to grow your hair out again. Apparently for me, it's remembering the correct way to trim your bangs. The correct way to trim your bangs:
The incorrect way to trim your bangs:

Yes, that would be a picture of my grill. Sorry the quality is not so great, but as you can imagine, I was a bit preoccupied.

Make sure that you stop by and visit Jenny and see what everyone else thinks of the letter B!

Oh man! Didn't your mother ever tell you not to get too close to the fire? Be careful. Hope you have a great hair stylist to fix it!

Oh no, did you really burn your bangs?

Too funny but not really :) As long as you didn't get hurt, your bangs will grow back.

OMG Kat I am so sorry but I am cracking up.I hate the smell of burning hair, You must have been horrified. I am assuming you are fine since you are writing this with such humor. Stay away from open flames, don't forget candles, I have seem lots of footage of poor brides veils going ablaze. Hugs Kathysue

Hi! That is a totally acceptable spelling of bocce or bocci. They are both good!

Yep folks, this really did happen. No major burns, but nice "crinkly" bangs. Not the recommended method for trimming bangs or a perm! But it did give me something to blog about lol. Kathy

Honestly, when I saw the title of your post and knowing a bit about you, I thought it was going to be about banging on the drums, lol. Now that I've read the whole thing, banging on drums just might be a better thing for you to do than trying to get the grill started!

Ouch!! Bet that didn't smell too good. And you can't get a comb through it either. How would I know?? hummmmm

LOL well ... at least you still have your eyebrows ... right???

Uggggg, I cannot imagine your horror to discover you'd singed your hair! Let's hope, at the very least, your eyelashes remained intact!! How did you ever get so close???

Well, at least, your bangs will eventually grow out!
