Weekend Reflections

The weekend is here! Time to relax, kick back and enjoy Weekend Reflections. Stop by and visit our gracious host James at Newtown Area Photo and see some wonderful photography.

I've been stuck on water reflections lately. DH and I drove into Austin on Sunday to visit the Texas State Cemetery and see if we could find some inspiration there. Of course, the visit led to reflections of another sort.

The first reflection I noticed was in the stream that wanders through the grounds. I know, water again.

Vietnam Soldier Memorial

As we strolled through these beautiful grounds, I began seeing reflections in unexpected places. This is the gravesite of Governor John Connally.

This was one of my favorite inscriptions that we saw.

Thanks for visiting. Now make sure to visit James and see what everyone is sharing this week.

Beautiful photos. I live in the desert, so I never tire of water reflections. Cemetery reflections are cool too!

Great pictures. It's nice to get a good assortment of reflections.
I checked a map and found out that I was very close to Rittenhouse Square. I still have seen Rittenhouse Square yet. :)

Hi Kathy...

Just wanted to come by after reading your sweet note that you left for me on my Seasonal Snippets...thank you for coming by, my friend! I always enjoy your visits!!!

Girl, I lived in Texas for 30 yrs. and never seen the Texas State cemetary. It really is beautiful, isn't it? I bet the river that winds through the grounds really brings a sence of peace! Your photos are lovely...thank you for sharing them with us today!

Warmest wishes,

I love this post, and don't you just love Twain??? He was a very wise man in many ways and funny, too. I love your water posts. They are beautiful. Never apologize to me for water. I love it and waited my whole young life to live near it.

XO,

Sheila :-)

Reflections are found in places unlooked for. I like the visual reflections here, and also the verbal reflection inscribed on stone.

Kathy, it was so nice of you to visit and leave your comment at Tampa FP. I echo everyone's praise for your images of the cemetery. It IS a beautiful place and so obviously filled with your state's and our nation's history. Arlington is very special (my dad and grandparents are buried there) but Texas State cemetery is equally are awesome.

Thank you for the tour. Great reflections. (You could always post more!)
