What's on Your Wall Wednesday

Join Barb at http://gritsglamour.blogspot.com/ for a fun Wednesday event. What's on Your Wall Wednesday showcases just that - what's on your wall! But Barb says go beyond artwork - this can be tile, shelves, faux finishes - or in my case - GUITARS!

I did a Met Monday post awhile back about my husband's "man cave" I received a huge number of comments on that room, so I thought I'd share a little more of what is hiding there. So I put on my wellies and waded in! The picture above is what you see walking into the room - at one point all of these guitars were hanging in various spots in the room, on the floor, in guitar stands - you name it. The addition of slat wall made the floor visible again, and it's much easier for DH to grab whatever he feels like playing at the moment. Yes, he really does use all of these.
This is one of my favorite things in the music room - original sheet music for How High The Moon by Les Paul and Mary Ford.

This guitar pickguard is one of DH's prized possessions - autographed by Sir James Marshall, of Marshall Amp fame. DH met him at the NAMM show several years ago and was on cloud nine! You haven't lived until you've been blasted out of an arena by a Marshall stack! Of course, that could explain DH's very poor hearing lol.

Autographed picture of one of DH's favorite guitar heroes Jeff Beck

Great way to display memorabilia - autographed CD and guitar picks from a fabulous, now disbanded guitar group the Hellecasters.

This is another of our special things - Heart's platinum album "Dreamboat Annie" One of my favorite albums by one of my favorite groups. DH picked this up on Ebay. Sorry about the glare, this was a bear to get a good shot of.

Another view of the slat wall display. This really is a neat way to display things, but be warned, it weighs a TON. Next time, I'll have DH get a buddy to help install it!
Hope you enjoyed this little tour of our music room walls! Now hop on over to Barb's place and see what everyone else is showing off this week!

Lucky guy to have such a great place to store his fabulous collections! Now, if I can just figure out why my dh can't hear me! laurie

My bro in law has a music store and is also a guitar man. I have a sidebar slide show of his store on my blog.

When he was still a teenager his band opened for the Allman Brothers in Vancouver. What a trip that was for him.

What do you guys think of Jeff Beck's protege Tal Wilkenfeld.
I think she is going to do great things.

Any way I like the storage idea. A place for everything and everything in it's place.

Awesome post! I would give almost anything to be able to play the guitar, or I have alwasy wanted to play the banjo.

What a great room and I loved the framed music sheets.

Thanks so much for joining in WOYWW.
