Lynette at Lynettes L.A.M. http://lynetteslam.blogspot.com/ passed this to me today and I am so honored. This award is for being a great mom and it really touches me. I first met Lynette through RMS and our love of the same bedroom color. She started her blog to help cope with her darling daughter going off to college, and I did the same. I have lots and lots of pictures of our darling Cait, but to me this is what being a mom is all about - allowing her to follow her dreams, and to stand, strong and independent, leading others!

This award really means the world to me. I am terribly proud of our daughter and all that she is and is still to be. If I accomplish nothing else in my entire life, I know that I can point to Caitlin and say "see"?
Now I am to pass this along to fellow bloggers who are terrific mothers. I can't think of anyone out there who would not qualify, and so many of you have already received this. I scrolled through recent posts in an attempt to avoid repetition. So I am going to pass this in no particular order to the following. If you've already received this, great! Kat...I had a big lump in my throat when I read your blog. My youngest daughter will go away to college this year and I am going to have the most empty space in my heart not having her here, our routines & someone to laugh & talk with. I have an older daughter but she is going to a local school so I have never had to deal with this before. I should go to Lynette's blog soon.
But you really got me when you referred to your greatest accompliment (your beautiful daughter). I never thought of my daughter as an accomplishment but you are so spot on!! I could just cry.

Thanks so much...this is one of the sweetest awards I've seen...being a good wife and mother means the world to me. My husband and I often remark that our two kids are by far our greatest accomplishments!
your right,,,nothing beats being a mom. i feel the same--when i leave here, all i care about and will smile about is if i've done ok by my children.
